Our client was required to update supplier data in Oracle with information derived from credit checks. This process involved extracting specific details from a public web application, Credit Safe, using the Safe Number associated with each credit check.
BP3 addressed this challenge with an Intelligent Automation (IA) solution:
Automated Data Extraction: The bot extracts the supplier credit checks report from emails and populates a CSV template with the necessary data.
Efficient Information Retrieval: It processes each record in the file, using the Safe Number to search for the company on Credit Safe, where it retrieves the Supplier Credit Rating/Grade and downloads the corresponding report.
Seamless Oracle Integration: With all data gathered from Credit Safe, the bot then locates each supplier in Oracle, uploads the Credit Safe report, and inputs the credit grade in the appropriate fields.
Transaction Logging and Reporting: Every supplier update is logged as a separate transaction. This information is uploaded to Humio to create a real-time report for employees.
The bot streamlines the supplier data updating process, saving an estimated 10 minutes per supplier. With around 100 suppliers processed monthly, this automation greatly enhances efficiency and productivity, showcasing BP3's commitment to transforming routine business operations with smart, technology-driven solutions.
